Job Description

We are seeking a skilled JIRA Subject Matter Expert (SME) / Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in configuring, maintaining, and supporting JIRA, with a deep understanding of Jira Automations and Agile methodologies. As a JIRA SME / Administrator, you will manage and customize JIRA workflows, schemes, custom fields, and plugins to meet organizational needs. You will also provide technical support, troubleshoot issues, and ensure optimal JIRA platform performance. Strong knowledge of Jira Automation is essential for integrating Jira Boards, task movement, and auto-creation of tasks. Additionally, familiarity with JAMA - Requirement Management Tool, including project setup, configuration, relationships, traceability, and review center, is desirable. Responsibilities : Configure and customize JIRA workflows, issue types, screens, fields, and permission schemes based on best practices and project requirements. Serve as the primary contact for JIRA inquiries, providing technical support and guidance to users. Manage user permissions for JIRA projects, ensuring data security and integrity. Perform JIRA installations, upgrades, and migrations as needed. Collaborate with teams to understand workflows and implement JIRA solutions. Create automation solutions to streamline workflows, enhance data handling, and integrate multiple Jira Boards. Handle Jira Automation requests, monitor, and resolve issues with scheduled automations. Integrate Jira with other tools like Confluence. Create and maintain dashboards, filters, and reports to track KPIs. Train users on JIRA functionalities and best practices. Stay updated on JIRA features, plugins, and industry trends for improvements. Document JIRA configurations, processes, and procedures. Manage projects in JAMA, organize requirements, and support new enhancements and configurations, including integration with Jira. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Proven experience as a JIRA Administrator or similar role, with significant hands-on experience. Deep knowledge of JIRA workflows, permission schemes, custom fields, and administrative tasks. Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and their JIRA implementation. Experience with JIRA plugins and add-ons (e.g., JIRA Service Desk, Portfolio). Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. JIRA certification (e.g., Atlassian Certified JIRA Administrator) is a plus. Familiarity with Atlassian tools like Confluence, Bitbucket, Bamboo.
