Kapwing, a leading online content creation platform, is seeking a highly organized Editorial Assistant to help create, update, and develop content across its library. This role spans four pillars of content — resources blogs, landing pages, templates, and social media — with a strong focus on SEO. The ideal candidate is a recent graduate or junior editor with experience in marketing, journalism, or a related field, and has a passion for video editing, social media, and writing. This full-time, hybrid role reports to the Head of Content at Kapwing. Responsibilities Story finding: Generating daily and monthly content ideas by monitoring social media trends, app updates, and the AI/video editing landscape. SEO duties: Improving SEO for landing pages and blogs through cross-interlinking, image updates, graphics, alt text, and keyword adjustments under guidance. Writing: Updating resources blogs, pitching and writing new blogs, and creating SEO meta descriptions and tag page intros. Quality checks: Assisting with fact-checking and proofreading content across various pages. Design: Creating memes and templates for Kapwing’s Explore section. Outreach: Conducting organic outreach to news outlets and bloggers to promote content. AI+Editing: Utilizing LLMs like ChatGPT to streamline content generation for SEO and descriptions. Requirements 0-2 years of professional experience or internship. Writing skills: Published work online and understanding of SEO. Passion for AI, new technologies, video editing, and social media. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple duties.
